In 2003, Nete2 Asia embarked to develop a full-fledged a Video Management System after noticing a void in the market for such a solution. The Video Management System is named ViewCast and currently at the 4th release.ViewCast is coded on .NET architecture and it is highly scalable and robust. It has been readily deployed in military institutions for 24/7 surveillance operations.

ViewCast is an enterprise class IP multimedia content (video, audio and images) delivery and management solution. It provides seamless management of digital video, audio, and data across any IP network.

It is designed to work with any 3rd party video cameras (analog or digital or a mixture of both). Your existing components like video cameras, PTZ units, video-wall displays, etc can be integrated into ViewCast saving you heavy capital investment. ViewCast can also be Fully Customizable unique to your requirements. Nete2 Asia is fully committed to make ViewCast a success and is continually improving ViewCast capabilities and efficiency.


VMS Design Methodology

		Requirements Analysis
		This is the first step of our methodology where we understand the customer needs and expectations for the system. Typically users would have a vague and incomplete idea of what they want as the end-result. Therefore we would gather information from various stakeholders on what their requirements from the application are and what they expect the application to accomplish. The level of detail of the requirements list is based on the number and size of user groups, the degree of complexity and the size of the application.

		User Scenarios Mapping
		Based on the requirements list elicited in the above, the list will be mapped to specific user scenarios. These scenarios will describe by way of event flows on how a particular user class performs a specific action on the application. Requirement Analysis and User Scenarios Mapping will be repeated till the mapped scenarios accurately fulfill the requirements and intended end-results.

		System Design
		Our system design department will design the overall system architecture based on the user scenarios. Subsequently components connectivity drawings and data flow diagrams will also be generated.


		System Design Review (SDR)
		This is the phase where a technical review will be conducted together with the users to evaluate the proposed system design. The following system aspects may be under review: Security (any possible network security breach) System Scalability Life Cycle Cost Functional Analysis Reliability/Maintainability/Availability (R/M/A) Technical performance Human Factors

		Formalize System Design & Proposal
		This is final design stage at which all the system drawings will be confirmed and finalized. Detailed technical specifications for the system will be also drafted for user perusal and subsequently approved for project implementation.
